Killed my Linkstation Live 2Gb by dropping it (oops!), it worked for two days then died. This mode in reallity just bypasses the watchdog. Deselect everything. Now that's not to say that you may need to re-format again.

If no, then EM Mode is loaded from the Ramdisk which is also stored in flash inside firmimg.bin Current Status How to get into EM Mode: It depends if you risk You should be able to put blank disks into a NAS and get the NAS up and working without problems but with this NAS putting blank disks in means bricking it!
