When I called the help line of course their pat answer was they would send me a refurbished machine. They even cleaned the machine interior, no charge. But clearly the point is to have your printer fail as soon as possible after the warranty expires.
Poor quality print and the printer is only a year old. I think I may be right in think it is a problem with the print head. I'm FED UP of trash printers!! I am the only one in the house that prints with it, and if anything it is under used (once a month I do a big paper). I admittedly dont use that printer much and had probably printer about 50 pages by then. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM brother AGAIN...................

If I were sueing I'd also go for emotionaldistress and anxiety followed by depression because I was unable to fulfill simple day to day tasks because of a rigged up multi-do-dahdoes-not-work It basically means the printhead is screwed and needs replacing.
